Momma Ola was one of the best cooks in the territory. She made one of thebest pecan pies I ha ve ever had the pleasure to eat. I remember as achild, we visited one to two times a year. Ev ery time we visited, shealways had me one of her famous pecan pies cooling on the stove. Itdi dn't matter what time we arrived, she always cut me a piece right then. She had a pull out cut ting board built into h er cabinets. She would pullit out and I would set on the stool/chai r at that cutting board and eatmy pie. I, not being a nut eater, would always pick all the nu ts off (shealways used whole nuts bec ause of this), lick the "good stuff" off thebottoms an d lay them aside. For years I gave my nuts to my father to eat.On one of my latter trips to s ee him before he passed away, my stepmother Pat ha d bought me a pecan pie; it is common know ledge in ourfamily how I love them. After dinner, daddy and I had us a piece. Well,as usual , I picked & licked my nuts and laid them aside. After my daddy was done with his pie I aske d him why he hadn't eaten the nuts I had laidaside for him. He replied, "I don't wantem afte r you licked all overthem". I found this quite comical and responded, "Why, you 've ate themt hat way for years!" - Sheila

Tn. by 1870 Census (1817)?
Rutherford County, Tn.
Unknown but believed to be Jamison Cemetery
Caroline Fulks' family apparent moved into Warren Co., TN and were first recorded in the 1840 Census in Warren Co. Samuel Fulks and Allen Jamison were apparent fairly close neighbor because of their positions in the census records. They also both are found later in Rutherford Co., in Eastern Rutherford Co., near Readyville.
Caroline was 45 in the 1860 Census living in Rutherford Co., TN in McCracken ward. She is recorded with Allen and household in 1870 as well at 53.
She is no longer shown as part of the Calvin Jamison household in 1910 as she was in 1900. Although she apparently died between 1900 and 1910, we have found no record of her death has been found nor where she was buried. We have always assumed she was buried with Allen in the family cemetery but no marker is present.
In the 1880 (as Caroline Jamerson) and 1900 Census records, she lived with Calvin Jamison, her youngest son.
Tom Bell's FULKS line is from Cannon Co. His 3rd great Aunt married William Jameson. Her name was Nancy Emeline Bell. Her niece married aFulks. Most of these families moved on to Missouri and Arkansas in the1840's.
Tom's research files indicates: Children of Levisa Tennison and Samuel Fulks:
Caroline m, Allan Jamison
Elizabeth bc 1815 and m. a Bragg
Samuel bc 1810 m Sarah Bell.
Levisa was the daughter of Abraham Tennison, Jr. She was born in Edgecombe Co., NC circa 1783 mc 1808 in Rutherford Co., TN. Samuel was bc 1772 in NC and died 8 Aug, 1860 in Readyville , TN.
Nancy Emeline Bell married William Jameson in Cannon Co. June 18, 1840.William appears to have been born circa 1823 in Kentucky. His Sarah Bell who married Samuel Fulks in Shelby CO. on July 23, 1838. Tom has this also recorded in Cannon Co. in which case this would. make her Nancy Emeline`s niece. There are other allied families in this area. James Bell, David Hollis, and James Berry married Lewis sisters from MadisonCo., Ky. Brothers and sisters of Nancy Bell Jameson married intoTennison, Russells(3), Hollis, and Burgie families. Lastly, Esther Lewis, my 4th gg grandmother, was a Todd, related to the Todds of Cannon Co., according to Tom Bell.
