No evidence has been found of this Jamison family after 1850 in this areaof Smith Co., TN. Unknown where many were buried or where John andsiblings married or went.Thomas Jamison left P ennsylvania in 1755, rightafter the murders of his parents and siblings. He removed to Virgin iawith his brother, John, possibly to Augusta Co., VA. where a number of the Erwins were resid ing at the time and the resettled down to a muchquieter life than the one experienced in Adams county. He moved westward to Tennessee and settled into the Rutherford county area.

Thomas the father and Jane and their son, Thomas are a result of the mergers of two different sets of records and it is unclear if this mergeris pure, i.e. does not contain ill place relationships.

Escaped to VA 1758 it is believe to be with his mothers, Jane Erwins, family.

Some sources record information as Thomas Jemison - Jim Savage, Clinton,MS
