Leroy FARMER b. 1799 SC to Mr. and Mrs. John FARMER, married 18 Jul. 1818 Nancy CRAFT (should be Wharton), b. 1796. In the late 1870's Leroy and Nancy moved to Cooke Co. TX, where they died and are buried in the New Hope Cemetery.

I Joseph REYNOLDS of the county of Tishomingo and State of Mississippi being week in body but sound in mind knowing the uncertainty of life and concerns and consign my soul to the Lord blest - be his name for his mercies and blessings bestowed on me through life. I make this in case of my death my last will & testament - first having no children I give and bequeth to Joseph JOB who I have raised the tract of land on which I live entered by myself and Samuel B. REED jointly (to wit) South East - qr of sec 31 Township 3 of Range 8 East - 1 East - half of said qr is the part herby given allow four head of horses one bay mare and three colts one sorrel and two bays, and four head of cattle one black and white cow and calf and one red and white cow and calf also my 2 worlsters. I give to John FARMER an occupant claim to land I have in McNairy county State of Tennessee the right to which was proven before Tho LANE, J.P. by John FARMER <> the 26th day of July 1831. I give to my brother Nicholus REYNOLDS my Brendle cow and white cow & two dun heifers. I give to Leroy FARME on white cow and two yearlings that-is at his house. The residence of my property money & money due after paying my just debts, I give to Joseph JOB in addition to the property first designated and willed to him which property will consist of my hack and hogs, two horses one a sorel horse the other a gray mare my crop of corn my farming tools my wagon my house hold and kitchen furniture [ yc??] I hereby appoint Reubon H. BOOD my executor to execute this my last will and testament signed & sealed the 27th day of October in the year of Lord one thousand eight-hundred and thirty eight. Copies of some legal records were transferred to Alcorn Co. upon its formation from Tishomingo Co. This if fortunatly; since the Tishomingo Co. Courthouse was later burnt, and only the transferred records transferred to Alcorn Co. continue to exist.

child, Sarah Elizabeth." Further info from Elliston Thomas -- "DorseyAlbert Jamison; born Nov . 22, 1853; married Jan. 14, 1892, to StellaSikes. (Stella Sikes was the step-daughter of Ath a Thomas.) E lizabeth -daughter of Dorsey and Stella Jamison; Born __ married _____ to Charle sDouglas Smiley (who was President of Simmons Hardware Co., St. Louis).She is very active i n work among girls in the city." From a St. Louispaper, The Constitution, in 1896: "DORSEY A . JAMISON, Grand Master ofMissouri Masons. "Brother Jamison was born near Murfreesboro, Tenn. , inRutherford County, Nov. 22, 1853, and is nearly 43 years old; hisliterary education was r eceived at Union University, Murfreesboro, hisLaw education at St. Louis Law School, Washingt on University, graduatingin June 1875. He has bee n practicing attorney at the St. Louis ba r sincehis graduation. In 1881 he formed a partnership with Brother Collins,under the firm n ame of Collins & Jamison, which has continued to thepresent tim e, having a large a lucrativ e practice and being the oldestfirm of attorneys in the city of St. Louis. Jamison married Stella Sikes of Franklin, Tenn., Jan. 6, 1892. HisMasonic history dates fro m 1884; on the 24th of January, 1884, he wasraised to the sublime Degree of Master Mason in O ccidental Ladg e and waselected Master of the Lodge in December, 1886, and served for two yea rs;he received all the degrees in Masonry including the 32nd, servingofficially in all the bo dies, and was elected Gran d Master of theMissouri Grand Lodge in November, 1896, receiving 1 185 votes out of apossible 1205."
Also from Elliston Thomas: "Two of his cousins, Woodlief Thomas andSpencer Martin Thomas, wer e at one time associated with him in thepractice of law; they were the sons of Atha Thomas o f Franklin, T enn.Woodlief moved to {Minneapolis} and Spencer Martin continued to reside
