They had seven children: Atha Thomas, Eris Campbell,Sa muel Patterson, Henry Downs, Ella Patterson, Maddie Woodlief and J.Carter. Samuel P. died i n 1887 at the age of eightee n; J. Caretr died in infancy." Note that Cornelia Susan Jamison , Robert David Jamison, andSallie Ganaway Jamison were all married on 26 December, 1860.

He served fou r years in the Army of theConfederacy, and was in 14 major battles , including Chattanooga, Shilohand Atlanata; he died at the home of his son Eris, Brookville , Miss. andis buried beside his wife in Evergreen Cemetery, Murfreesboro. They wereBaptists."

Funeral Services for Mrs. Velma Andrews w ere conducte d onMonday, February 13, at 1p.m. from the chapel of the Alexander FuneralHome w ith Elder Barry Miller officiating. Jason Binson, Kyle Leath, KevinSmith, Tracy Hawkins, Jaso n Phillips, and Kenny Da vis served as HonoraryPallbearers. Kyle Polston, Tim Wix, Ronnie Ste en, Josh Wix, Kyle Wix,William Holliman, Randall Polston, and Zach White served as ActivePall bearers. Interment followed in the B arnfield-Andrews Cemetery in theOld Bottom Community.
Velma was born on August 8, 1936 in Macon County Tennessee to the LateJimmie and Bertha Mae M aulden Herald. Besides her parents, Velma was alsopreceded in death by a beloved nephew Rick y Wayne Wix. Velma married thelove of her life and spouse of fifty four years Mr. Robert Lewi s Andrewson December 20, 1957, Mr. Lewis survives.
Velma was saved as a young girl and joined the Brattontown MissionaryBaptist Church in Lafaye tte, where she remained a member until her death.Velma began her Nursing Career at the Janwyn ella Nursing Home in 1966.There she was employed as a Nursing Assistant until 1978, at whic h timeVelma began work at the Macon County General Hospital. She passionatelyworked helping p eople with their illnesse s and discomforts, alwayssharing a smile to brighten their day. Vel ma retired from Macon CountyGeneral in 1996 to care for her elderly mother.
Velma©ØOØs family was very important to her and she loved spending timewith her grandbabies an d great-grandbabies, as well as all of her manyfriends. Velma loved to mow the yard as long a s she was ab le and enjoyedsewing and working with her hands, in her free time.
Velma lost her leg to a struggle with diabetes in 2005 and gradually herhealth failed. The Lo rd saw fit to take Velma to her eternal home whereher illnesses are no longer a burden. Altho ugh she is g one, Velma willnever be forgotten by those who knew and loved her.
Mrs. Velma leaves behind; Husband, Robert Lewis Andrews, Daughter, ReginaLynn (Randy Joe) Cot hron, Grandchildren, Brandy Renee (Nathan) Strack,Carla Mae (Brian)Thompson, Travis James (Tr acey) Cothro n, Sister,Virginia (Kenney) Ponder, Special Friend, Eller Sircy, EightGreat-Gran dchildren as well as several Nieces and Nephews and a Host ofGood Friends.
