Easter/Esther S. Brandon's middle initial from grave stone. Some recordsmay indicate a "G" r ather than an "S". This may be incorrect because thegrave stone of her infant daughter who di ed in 1895 r ecords Carrie A.Jamison dau. of Andrew & E. S. Jamison Oct. 9, 1894 Mar. 31, 189 5.
It's also interesting to note that the monument states: "Easter S.Brandon wife of Andrew Jami son" Other stones in the cemetery are madewith wife's full name and their husband that make t he records n ice. Thename has been verified by this researcher on the stone as also recorded on page 92 of the records created by the Rutherford Co., HistoricalSociety for cemetery No. 1 14 by Steve Cates in 196 9.

The 1790 census indicates seven children, 4 males and 3 females. The will
named 8. The eldest son had probably left home by the 1790 census.
The 1800 census indicates 3 sons at home and no daughters. Robert's wifeis
still living.
The 1810 census is explained as follows: The wife has died and Robert isliving
with his youngest son who is married and has two children under 10. This
youngest son is believed to be David since Robert was most generous withhim in
his will. The other two sons 16<26 in 1800 census are James and John in1810
census. Robert and Garner mentioned in the will have not been located.
Assuming Robert died in 1813 at about the age of 63 would make his birthyear
1750. He probably was married by 1772 and the first child born by 1773.This
was probably Robert since a male was unaccounted for in 1790 census andit was
the custom to name the first male after the father and first female after
the mother. From the census records we can deduce that David's birth was
about 1785; so all eight children were born between 1773 and 1785, atwelve
year period.
The children were not arranged in birth order as named in the will. Theyhave
been arranged based on studying the available data.

The earliest Jamieson to immigrate from Ireland to South Carolina isbelieved
to be JOHN JAMIESON who was granted 50 acres 26 June 1736. This 50 acreswas
inherited by his son, WILLIAM JAMIESON. WILLIAM JAMIESON was granted 350
acres 5 October 1756. AGNES STITT of the Parish of Annahill, Co. ofAntrim,
Ireland, sister of WILLIAM JAMIESON, deeds land to her son WILLIAM STITT
of Craven Co. SC. JOHN JAMIESON, was probably a relative of ROBERTJAMIESON
and the Parish of Annahill, County of Antrim may have been his home. Need
research to prove.
