Thanks to James Franklin Jamison for the information concerning George:
Part 1:
George Washington Jamison m Elon Reneau both born probably in WhiteCounty Tn though I have be en unable to find a record of that. There is anewspaper obit. on a descendant that mentions t hese two and the place oftheir birth as White County TN. They went from TN into Indiana and t henapparently went to Illinois with one of the sons after their son BenjaminFranklin Jamiso n died of TB in New Alban y, IN abt 1858. It is not clearwhether Geo. Washington Jamison die d in IN or in IL. There is a record ofElon Reneau Jamison's death and burial in Illinois. I h ave no info. onwho the parents of Geo. Washington Jamison or Elon Reneau were.
Part 2:
In my March 2003 message, I erroneously identified George WashingtonJamison's son who died o f TB in New Albany, IN as Benjamin FranklinJamison. In fact, the son was Benjamin Axley Kin g Jamison who i n turnhad a son named Benjamin Franklin Jamison. B.A.K. Jamison was my GreatG randfather and Benjamin Franklin Jamison was my Grandfather.

From MyRootsPlace.com:

?He was 18 when he married Elan Reno/Reneau. He was 70 when he died.

Thanks to Sarah Stevens for adding to the confusion:

I have been researching Theophilus W. (Dink) Jamison today. He was b July1863 in Tn. to unkno wn parents. He was living with Sallie AndersonJamison (my ggg paternal grandmother)on 1880 Ho uston Co., T n. censuslisted as a son--which makes no sense as she was 76.

I then found him as Theo W. Jamison on 1900 Houston Co., Tn. m. toMartha. He has children lis ted as John M., William A., Arthur R., Jennie,Carrie E., and George W. Jamison.

1910 Houston Co., Tn. finds Dink Jamison with new children b listed asElsie and Charlie.

1920 finds Dink Jamison with new children listed as Lena and EarnestJamison. I haven't foun d Dink after 1920. I have no idea if he had diedor not.
