Native of Houston Dies at New Albany
J Harley Jamison, retired coal company operator, and native of Houston,Miss., died at his hom e in New Albany after an extended illness. He was73.
Services were held at 10 am, Friday in New Albany First Methodist Churchwith the Rev. A C Bis hop, a former Houston pastor, officiating. Burialwas in the Houston Cemetery with United Fune ral Service of New Albany incharge.
Mr. Jamison was born at Houston and was a son of the late Edward andLaura Griffin Jamison. H e had resided in New Albany 40 years and operatedthe Jamison Coal Co., before he retired eigh t years ago. Prior toentering this business, he was agent for Life and Casualty Insurance Co. ,in New Albany for seven years. He was a member of First Methodist Church.
He leaves a son, James William Jamison of New Albany; a brother, Robert FJamison of Tuscaloos a; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
