Clarissa of GenForum provides the follow post November 28, 2001:
I wish I had more information to share, but there's really very little. As I mentioned above, Ephriam Jesse was born 1872 and died 3/10/1952 in Shelby Co. His wife, Mary Lillian Hammond was born 1878 and died 5/29/1962. They had three children, Frank Jesse Jamison, my grandfather, (b. 7/13/1909, d. 11/26/1997), Carrie Dean Jamison (b. 9/3/1900, d.7/19/1994), and Millie Jamison. Frank Jamison remained in Shelby County and married Ann Pearl Gordon (9/13/1918-6/12/2000). They had nine children, three of whom died in infancy. Carrie Dean married a Dr. P.C. Knoppe and resided in Lewis, Ky. Millie married a man named Matthews; I'm not sure if they stayed in Shelby Co. Ephriam Jesse's brother Mac Q.(1873-8/12/1945) married Maude Hammond (1882-2/20/1965). I was told by Carrie's son that Ephriam had another brother named Jimmy, and the KY death records database shows a James D. Jamison who died in 1948 at age 83 in Shelby Co.-the right time and place. And in the midst of my family's section of Grove Hill Cemetary there is the grave of Robert S. Jamison (1875-1952) and wife Annie P. (1882-1962), whom I know nothing at all about at this time; it's just a guess that he was another brother of Ephriam right now. I was also told that Ephriam's father was named James Jamison, and Ky death records seem to bear that out as well, showing James E. Jamison (abt. 1844-3/18/1912) in Shelby Co.
I know Mary Lillian Hammond had another sister besides Maude, but I only know that her married name was Hughes. There were three brothers: Harvey, Leonard, and Luther W. (1886-2/18/1957), who was the Shelby Co. jailor and died in the line of duty.
No one I know has a clue about Lillian's parents, except it's generally believed she was "half-Indian", and my grandmother thought Lillian's mother's maiden name MIGHT have been Ingalls or Engles or something.
