Allen Ray "A.J." Jamison, 53, of Elizabethtown, died Friday July 1, 2011,at his residence.
Allen Ray "A.J." JamisonHe was born in Jefferson County. He was a memberof the Central Hardi n Fire Department for 20 years and also worked atTractor Supply, Cracker Barrel and Phelps Do dge as a ship ping supervisorfor 25 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar Ray Jamison and RoxieMiracle Jamison.
He is survived by his wife, Frances Burton Jamison; two daughters,Mariann Jamison and Rebecc a "Becky" (William) East, both ofElizabethtown; his stepmother, Doris Jamison of Elizabethtow n; two grandsons, Ozzie and Colton East; and several aunts and uncles.
The funeral is at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtownwith the Rev. Leon Ch ambers and the Rev. Bobby Dickerson officiating.Burial follows in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday and continues at 9 am. Tuesday atthe funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may take form of donations to the family.

Mrs. Jamison was born in Greenup County, Ky., a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Fisher. She moved here from Greenup County five years ago. She was a member of the Christian Church at Brushart, Ky. She is survived by Mrs. Kitchen, two other children, George Jamison, 3050 Walnut st. and John Jamison of Rexton, Ky.; 28 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren. Her husband J. S. Jamison died in 1919. Three brothers, two sisters, her parents and 10 children also preceded her in death.
