Funeral services for Mrs. Elsie Butts, 59, of this city were held thismorning (Thursday) at 1 0 o'clock at the First Methodist church here,conducted by the Rev. Sam Auslam of Springdale . Mrs. Butts d ied at theSpringdale Hospital, August 8, after three months illness. She had b eenhospitalized the past four weeks.
She was born September 26, 1896 at Loy, Ark., the daughter of Jim andAnnie Ashmore Whorton. S he was a member of the Methodist church, theWoman's Society of Christian Service, and the Ame rican Legion Auxiliary,and was quite active in her church and auxiliary work. She was marrie d toJess Grover Butts December 16, 1912 at Loy, and he preceded her in death17 years ago on A pril 1, 1939.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Flossie Wilson of Denver, Colo.,and Mrs. Anna Coger o f Huntsville; one son, Dorsie W. Butts of LoringAFB, Maine; four brothers, Tom Whorton and Do rsie Whorton of Pryor,Okla., Robert Whorton of Bentonville and George Whorton of Clarksville; three sisters, Mrs. Eliza Dailey and Mrs. Mary Hillard of Huntsville, andMrs. Jewel Bolinge r of Locust Grove, Okla., and three grandchildren.
Burial was in the Huntsville cemetery under the direction of theBrashears Funeral Home.

Mrs. Eliza Dailey, 80, of this city died in the Elizabeth Hospital atPrairie Grove Monday. Sh e had been a patient there the past 28 days.
She was born August 25, 1879, in this county, the daughter of James L.Whorton and Annie Ashmo re Whorton, and was the widow of Frank Dailey whodied several years ago. She was a member o f the Church o f Christ.
Survivors include two sons, Jesse Dailey of this city and Willie Daileyof Route 5, Huntsville , two daughters, Mrs. Grace Burney of Kingston andMrs. Maggie Bolinger of this city, with who m she made h er home; fourbrothers, George Whorton of Clarksville, Robert Whorton of Bentonvi lle,Tom and Dorsey Whorton of Pryor, Okla.; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Hillard ofthis city and Mr s. Jewel Bolinger of Loc ust Grove, Okla.; eightgrandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held in the Brashears Funeral Home Chapel Wednesdayafternoon at 2 o'clo ck with Leerie Ball conducting. Burial was in theKingston cemetery.

Jess Elmer Dailey, 84, of 549 Laura Lee, Fayetteville, Ark., died Nov.11, 1991, at the Depart ment of Veterans Affairs Medical Center inFayetteville. He was born Nov. 28, 1906, at Kingsto n, Ark., the son ofFrank and Eliza Whorton Dailey. He was retired from the produce andlivesto ck business, a member of the North Street Church of Christ and aveteran of World War II, serv ing in the U.S. Army. H e was a member ofHayes-Smith Post #137, American Legion at Huntsville .
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Clara M. Vanderpool Dailey of the home;three daughters, Mrs . Bill (JoAnn) Woodward of Springdale, Mrs. Huston(Joice) Givens of Fayetteville, and Mrs. Ch ester (Janic e) Hayes ofSumter, S.C.; three grandsons, Denny Woodward and Mike Givens, both o fFayetteville, and James Woodward of Springdale; four granddaughters, MissMelissa Givens of F ayetteville, Miss Sarah Hayes, Miss Laura Hayes, andMiss Kate Hayes, all of Sumter, S.C.; thr ee nephews, Don Burney ofBerryville, Dany Bolinger of Huntsville, and James Dailey of Lowell ; andtwo nieces, Mrs. Nadine Swain o f Oklahoma City, Okla., and Mrs. JanetteWest of West For k.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, in the chapel ofBrashears Funeral Home wit h Jim Caldwell, minister, officiating.Interment will be in Huntsville Cemetery under the dire ction of Brashears Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Denny Woodward, James Woodward, Mike Givens, DonBurney, Danny Bolinger an d James Dailey.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. GraceAnne Dailey Burney on February 14, 1981.
