Henry S. Davenport, 87, a retired farmer, died yesterday in a PrairieGrove Hospital. He had m ade his home in Lincoln for the past two yearsand before that had lived in the Pinnacle Commu nity in Madi son County.He was born June 9, 1875 in Clay County, N.C., the son of George H. a ndNancy Ledford Davenport and was a member of the United Baptist Church atPinnacle.
Survivors include six daughters, Mrs. Fannie McNeely, Mrs. Cora Bunch,Mrs. Clema Calvin, Mrs . Neva Faulkenberg, Mrs. Ruth Roberts, and Mrs.Ruby McChristian; two sons E.A. Davenport, an d C. H. Davenp ort; threebrothers, W. M. Davenport, Haskill Okla., V. R., and John Davenport , bothof Elkins; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Caler, Mrs. Belle Hankins, Mrs.Clarisse Smith and Mr s. Callie Vanlandingham, al l of Elkins; 20grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at Pinnacle Baptist Church. Burialwill be in Pinnacle ce metery under direction of Moore's Chapel.
