Barrett Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. Winkler.

Mr. Winkler passed away Monday, September 27, 2004 at the Lanier Park Campus of the NEGMC following an extended illness.

Born in White County, Georgia on March 31 1925, he was the son of the Hubert G. & Nellie Nix Winkler. Winkler was retired from the Talon Corporation and was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Jean Ragan.

Survivors include his wife, Hazel Tow Winkler, Cleveland; Daughters and son-in-laws, Arlene and Homer Cantrell, Dahlonega; Jan and Lloyd Harben, Dawsonville; Penny and John Kesting, Dawsonville; Bobbie and Richard Turner, Demorest; daughter, Majorie Winkler, Dawsonville; sister, Velma O Fain, Dahlonega; 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, Sept. 29 from the Antioch Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.

The body will lie in state at the church from 1:30 til 2 PM on Wednesday.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11 AM to ( PM on Tuesday.
