She is said to have beenborn in Dec 1834 which is consistent with Mar y Pitts given here. Thedate of death is est. 1919. We currently assume this information to b etrue but will verify other related information before including detailshere.

"Drewry/Drury Andrews" was an apparent common name during this period,therefore it is impossi ble to assured of family connections based just onthe name. Even now we are not sure how hi s name was s pelled. Just likethe name Andrews, often many pronounce the name Anders, and an d a hundredmore variations. Family traditions as told by my great Aunt Elizabethindicates th at our family came from H alifax Co., Virginia to theKentucky-Tennessee area. The family a s we know it settled around MaconCo., Tennessee and from there moved into other parts of sout hern Kentuckyand middle Tennessee. The information of how long the family lived in VAand wher e has long been removed by time.
The following information is from Marie Taylor, (40 Timberhill Drive,Jackson, TN 38301). Sh e reports that her grandfather, Patrick HenryAndrews (1838-1913) had a brother, William Drur y Andrews, wh o wascaptured by the Federal Troops during the Civil War and died in prisoncam p in Alton, Ill. Parents were Isaac H. Andrews and Martha AmandaCooper. They had 10 childre n several of them born in V irginia. In 1842they travel by covered wagon from Sussex Co. Vir ginia to Brentwoodsettlement in Tennessee. Later settling in Fayette Co., TN. Issaac H.paren ts were Isaac Andrews and Patsy Loftin who married in Apr 30, 1807in Sussex Co. Henry Andrews , his father, list in his will probated inSussex Co., in 1801 the following: wife Lucy; child ren: George, Isaac,Ambrose, Abby, Henry, Elizabeth , Amy, Lucy and Sallie. Info dated May17 , 1977 by Marie Taylor in letter to Robert "Bob" Andrews.

Drewry Andrews, who became a member of the settlement about the ye ar1838 or 1839, was former ly from Tennessee, a tanner and a shoemaker. Thefirst pair of shoes the writer of this pape r rememb ers w earing weremade by Mr. Andrews out of leather tanned by him. He died Decembe r 5,1845. His daughter Mary married John Barto n, Susan married John Minton,Lizzie married Di ck Jones, and Sophia married John Catlin, all earlysettlers in that settlemen t. Mr Andrews a lso had a son, Thomas A.
Drury was beleived to be in Coffee's regiment out of West Tennessee,McCrory's regiment West T N, 3rd reg'iment South Carolina but unconfirmed,however:
