John M. Morgan [Male]

John M. Morgan
Sex: M •Birth: BET 1827 AND 1833 in New York
Occupation: Tailor
ABBR: 1860 Hickman County, Kentucky census.
Death: BEF 1870
Note:
(NOTE: At this time I believe John M. was a son of the John Morgan who married Isabella Walker Edmonds in 1839 in Obion County. Obviously she wasn't John M.'s mother, but a second wife. In 1840 the elder John Morgan was between 50-59 [b. 1781-1790], and had a son between the ages of 10-14 [John M., aged about 13. See 1850 census]. Others in the home were a female 40-49 [Isabella], a female 20-29, a female 10-14, a female 5-9, and a female under the age of 5. Not known if these were the children of the elder John or of Isabella, or some of each. It is known that Isabella had 8 children by her first husband, one of whom had struck out on his own before the 1840 census [per Goodspeed]. The elder John died before 1850 since Isabella is widowed at that time and living in the home of William & Elizabeth Brown. [Elizabeth was Isabella's daughter by James Edmonds per Goodspeed & the eldest daughter in the 1840 enumeration.] John M., as shown in the 1850 enumeration below, was living in the hotel and working as a tailor.)

Louisa Ann Russell [Female] b. 27 DEC 1832 TN

Religion: Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Obion County, Tennessee, 1887 2
Death: AFT 1910 in Greene County, Arkansas

Note: Louisa's great-grandson, Kenneth Morgan, said Louisa is buried at New Friendship Cemetery in Greene County, Arkansas, next to her son Wilford. If this is so, she died in Greene County, Arkansas. There is no marker for this grave, but at one time there was a marker inscribed "Lizzy Hester" in this particular cemetery. I believe this is Louisa and that the grave is next to Wilford's as per Kenneth Morgan's recollection.

His wife was born in North Carolina, and died in Henry County, at the age of seventy. Our subject began doing for himself at the age of twenty-one, and has made farming his chief occupation through life. He owns 140 acres of land, on which he cultivates tobacco, and raises stock to a considerable extent, but gives the most of his attention to raising he cereals. He has been married four times, the first time, March 3, 1842, to Harriett J. Turner, who bore him two children: Amanda and Newton J. She died may 8, 1847, and August 9 of the same year he married Malinda E. Yarbrough, who died July 9, 1848, having borne one son, who died in infancy. "Besides the Ingram postoffice, there was another postoffice in this community called Mock. It was established by the late W. L. (Fayette) Mock and was at the store which he and his father, General Mock, had previously established on Mud creek about a mile north of the first Ingram office. Near here settled Parson Isaac Witt, BIAS RUSSELL and others soon after the close of the Civil War. Some of the folks living in this community are the seventh generation since their forefathers landed in Randolph county."

William Trimble [Male] b. 1 JAN 1783 Ireland - d. 17 JUN 1864 Logan Co., KY

The Trimbles came from Ireland and were known as "Scotch-Irish". That refers to the Lowland Scotch Presbyterians who were driven out of Scotland by the Church Of England. They settled in the northern parts of Ireland, but the oppression continued there so they emigrated to America. They were called "Scotch-Irish", to distinguish them from the Highland Scotch and the Catholic Irish that lived in the south Ireland. William and his wife settled in Logan County, KY. Their children were all born here. It has been said that William, two brothers, a sister and an aunt, Arabella Trimble King, came directly from Ireland. One brother went south, one remained in Virginia, the sister died on the voyage and was buried at sea. William, along with his aunt, traveled to Kentucky. It is believed William came from North Carolina to Kentucky with Arabella Trimble. There she married a man named King (in Logan County, KY). Their son was James S. King. Abraham Winkler [Male] b. 1770

An account of the partial decendents of Conradt through Abraham Winkler by
Jonathan Winkler:

My name is Jonathan Winkler and I am a decendent of the mentioned Conradt Winkler! I am the last on in line to carry on the name. I am the youngest male left! Canradt had some sons two of which I know of, One Adam Winkler, and the other was Abraham Winkler.. From Abraham came Pinkney Winkler, and possibly others..... From Pinkney had Walter, William, and possibly Roland... William had sons named Telis (SP)and Elmer...Telis died at age (18).. Elmer did not have any sons...Walter had J.P Winkler (maybe John P) but he was paralyzed at the age of 6... and my grandfather Theodore Winkler.. Ted had one son Stephen Winkler (my father) and he had one son Jonathan Winkler (me).. I hope that clears up most of Canradt decendants!! If you find anymore Information please write back to me at twdogg@@yahoo.com... By the way I am 18...
