Susan was born in May, 1826 and married Coonrod on March 7, 1850 in Estill Co., KY. She was the daughter of Lewis Winkler born April 10, 1785 in Salisbury, Rowan Co., NC who died January 22, 1855 in Estill Co., KY. Her mother was Sarah "Sally" born about 1791 in PA and died September 18,1868. Lewis and Sally were married about 1805. I am not certain about all her brothers and sisters as there is some discussion on these boards right now regarding this family. Lewis Winkler's father was Henry, born March 1, 1755/56 in Easton, Northampton Co., PA who died July 1, 1836 in Estill Co., KY. This Henry was the Revolutionary War soldier whose service has been documented by the DAR. Please let me know if I can help you any more. Also, please share your info on Wade and Celia.

found a doc. online that states henry winkler and susannah or susan appeared in estill co.ky court on Aug 20 1831 and other dates. it is about him serving in rev. war states he tink it was 1775 or 1776. he voluneered in rowan co.for three months also served other times. he staed that he was born in ettaw, pa later added that he was born in a town called " easttown,pa." moved to rowan co. n.c. with father at young age. he states that he will be 77 or 78 on march next. this before court on jan. 21, 1831. hr satates that he has do. with age on it - but it is in germany and that he never been able to find anyone to read it. his wife state that they were married last of june o5 first of july 1778 in roan co. s. c. a william winkler 8th child makes a statement to. it looks like some more of their children are in this. it is on " US GENWEB ARCHVIES" put in Winkler and check Ky. fourth thing says henry winkler click it. hope this helps.

Mr. Walter Anthony Winkler , age 55 of Cleveland. Mr. Winkler passed away Thursday, April 05, 2012.
Mr. Winkler was born in Habersham County, GA on August 31, 1956. He is preceded in death by his parents, F.M. and Jeanette Winkler, as well as his sister, Denise Ravan.
Mr. Winkler was a lifelong resident of Cleveland and a self employed carpenter for most of his life. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church
Mr. Winkler is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Kelsie and Michael Potts, of Atlanta, GA; brother and sister- in-law Ronnie and Susie Winkler of Blue Ridge, GA; sister and brother-in-law Brenda and Larry Winkler, Cleveland GA; brother Wayne Winkler, Cleveland; several nieces and nephews; and a very special friend Patricia Conner, Cleveland.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm Tuesday April, 10, 2012 from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Mike Irvin and Rev. Wayne Turk officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday April 9, 2012 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Mr. Richard Wayne Turner, age 56, of Demorest, formally of Cleveland, passed away on Monday, April 21, 2008 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Mr. Turner was born in White County, Georgia on June 6, 1951 to Edna Free Turner and the late Ellis Turner. Mr. Turner was a retired Master Sergeant having served our country proudly in the U.S. Army during Vietnam, was a member of the VFW, and was also member of Antioch Baptist Church in Cleveland. He was preceded in death by brother, Allan Turner. Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Robbie Winkler Turner, Demorest; daughter, Amber Turner, Clarkesville; daughter and son-in-law,Jessica Turner and Jamie Kastner, Demorest; mother, Edna Free Turner, Cleveland; grandchildren, Cole Turner, Demorest; Kylie Kastner, Demorest; brother and sister-in-law, James and Latrelle Turner, Cleveland; brother, Tommy Turner, Cleveland; sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Ray Hawkins, Buford; and numerous nieces and nephews. The only child I have information on is Thomas Jefferson Winkler. He was born April 3, 1845 in North Carolina and died August 27, 1928. He and his wife, Cynthia Elizabeth Smith, are buried in the same cemetery as his father: Mt. Pleasant UMC Cemetery in White County, Georgia. I will check on the information in the White County History Book later this week. There is not even a copy on the shelf in our White County Public Library. There is one in the regional library in Clarkesville, Habersham County, Georgia. I don't know anything about the Winkler reunion but I'll make some inquiries.
