Henry Noland [Male] b. 1750 Frederick Co., Maryland - d. 25 JUN 1807 Madison Co., KY

Henry Noland was born in Maryland and lived in Berkeley County, Virginia. He was married to Nancy White and we find them in the census records of Bedford County, Pennsylvania. They finally migrated to Madison County, Kentucky, before the year 1791. Henry settled near the Kentucky River and Red River Pike. This place was beyond the Cane Springs Primitive Baptist Church, which Henry and his family helped to build and establish. The church was established in 1803. The church had a Noland as one of its officers until 1936, when death claimed a great grandson of Henry Noland, also named Henry. He was serving in the position of clerk when he died.

Henry Noland, the ancestor first talked about above died suddenly in the year 1807. He is buried on the land which he settled as a pioneer of Kentucky. Henry served as a soldier in the Revolutionary War. He saw service on the Virginia Frontier. His wife Nancy White Noland died in 1837.

Henry Noland's grave is located on a point of land not to far from the Kentucky River. John White Noland had also lived there. The cemetery had an iron fence around it and one old grave that was marked with two rocks and three graves that had the name of Jones on them. The cemetery is located on a beautiful place. The land was owned by Skinner Heirs and no one lived there for years.

Henry Noland had a ferry that he operated. It was known as "Noland's Ferry". It crossed the Kentucky River from Madison County into Clark County, Kentucky. The road is still there that leads into the Kentucky River.

These Nolands were listed as members of the Cane Springs Primitive Baptist Church at College Hill, Kentucky in Madison County

William Noland, Elizabeth Noland, John Noland, Jean Noland, Cynthia Noland, Anna Noland, Nancy Noland, Edmund Noland, Abigail Noland, Henry Noland.
