I'm looking for other Jamisons who may have von Willebrand's Disease in their family. It appears very much like hemophilia (pallor, heavy bleeding, bruising) except that the symptoms affect men and women equally. It's genetic, and normally about 1 in 11 people may have it to different degrees, but in the descendants of Ephraim Jess Jamison (b.1873) and Mary Lillian Hammond (b.1878) of KY, it's more like 1 in 2.

I don't know very much about these Jamisons. Ephriam Jess was born in 1872 and died 3/10/1952 in Shelby Co., KY. He married Mary Lillian Hammond (b.1878, d. 1962). He had a brother named Mac Q. (Quincey?) Jamison (b. 1873, d. 1945) who married Lillian's sister Maude (b. 1882, d. 1965). All died in Shelby Co. and are buried in Grove Hill Cemetary. There may have been two other brothers as well, Robert S. Jamison (b. 1875, d. 1945), and Jimmy Jamison.
