DOD 1923
and Sidney Gammon Shrum DOB November 1893 DOD 18 August 1923. They are both
buried at the Barnfield Cemetery in Macon County, TN. In 1900 Sidney was
located living with her grandmother Margaret Gammons. She was 6 years old
then. Sidney was a member of the Old Bottom (Beech Bottom) Missionary Church
in Macon County. That is where I got the DOD for her as it was in the
minutes of the church. In 1910 Marlin was in the County jail. The court had
determined him mentally incompetent. This is all I have on them, but I
wanted to share this. [Source- "The Descendants of Henry Dozier Brawner"] We
wrote this in 1999. Unfortunately I have searched the TN Death Certificates,
one certificate at a time, and have not found one for her. But there are
alot of the early 1920's certificates missing and were never turned into the
state.
