This day, January 11, 2005, our beloved Aunt Olean was laid to rest inGreenlawn Cemetery. Ma ny memories come to mind of the life that shelived and her contribution to lives of her child ren and also those of usthat were her nieces and nephews. Some memories were serious and oth ersgave quality to our lives that were not so serious. I remember well thaton one occasion w e caught a snapping tur tle in the pond and decided thatit would be a cool thing if it were c ooked and served to my parents. Shenot only cleaned the turtle but also cooked for supper fo r all of us toenjoy. I recall my f ather thinking this was a fairly good meal but thebones w ere not consistent with anything that he had seen before. We allgot a great laugh out of th e whole ordeal and continue to do so some 45to 50 years later.
