Note NI18478 :

Individuals : Jameson George
Kent McMahan included George and some of his line after getting initial info on them from my correspondent & descendant, Pam Stover.
The subject George Jameson, age 78 b. VA, is listed in the 1850 household of apparent son, Robert F. Jameson. Carol Eddleman has George & Elizabeth Jameson, natives of VA, as the parents of Robert F. Jameson. For George, Scott Jameson references (1) Kentucky Genealogy and Biography, v.1, p.119 & 120, 1970 reprint of the 1885 edition, Battle, Perrin, & Kniffin; and (2) Barren Co., KY 1851-1910 (death records researched by Sandy Gorin, Glasgow, KY). Interestingly, Scott's first reference (also cited by Eddleman) has that the subject George, who married his cousin Elizabeth Jameson, was a son of Robert Jameson but Scott instead believes that Elizabeth was Robert's daughter and that George was Robert's son-in-law. The second referenced death record has: "3 May 1854 George Jameson, age 84, male, widower, born VA, died Barren County, son of William Jameson. Died of old age." Scott Jameson has George's birth in 1770 at Louisa Co., VA.
r, born VA, died Barren County, son of William Jameson.
Scott Jameson has that George Jameson was an early pioneer of Barren Co., KY. He was a brickmason. See notes for his wife regarding their marriage. Patty Archer found the marriage of George Jameson to Betsy Jameson on 1 Mar 1800 in Harrison Co., KY. Patty thought at one time that the groom MAY have been George Washington Jameson (who's also in my database), who would have been in Harrison Co. in 1800 with his parents and who was a half-brother of Patty's ancestor, Robert Jameson, Sr. of Ralls Co., MO.

Individuals : Morgan John M.
John M. Morgan
Sex: M •Birth: BET 1827 AND 1833 in New York
Occupation: Tailor
ABBR: 1860 Hickman County, Kentucky census.
Death: BEF 1870
Note:
(NOTE: At this time I believe John M. was a son of the John Morgan who married Isabella Walker Edmonds in 1839 in Obion County. Obviously she wasn't John M.'s mother, but a second wife. In 1840 the elder John Morgan was between 50-59 [b. 1781-1790], and had a son between the ages of 10-14 [John M., aged about 13. See 1850 census]. Others in the home were a female 40-49 [Isabella], a female 20-29, a female 10-14, a female 5-9, and a female under the age of 5. Not known if these were the children of the elder John or of Isabella, or some of each. It is known that Isabella had 8 children by her first husband, one of whom had struck out on his own before the 1840 census [per Goodspeed]. The elder John died before 1850 since Isabella is widowed at that time and living in the home of William & Elizabeth Brown. [Elizabeth was Isabella's daughter by James Edmonds per Goodspeed & the eldest daughter in the 1840 enumeration.] John M., as shown in the 1850 enumeration below, was living in the hotel and working as a tailor.)
