Mr. Darrel Driver, age 63, of Lafayette, passed away late in the evening on Friday October 15 at the Macon County General Hospital in Lafayette. Funeral Services for Mr. Darrel Driver were conducted on Monday afternoon October 18, at 1pm from the chapel of the Alexander Funeral Home with Elder Kyle Gammons officiating. Interment followed in the Anderson & Son Memorial Park in Lafayette.
Darrel was born on December 19, 1946, to Calvin Quenton and Willa Dean Roark Driver; they both preceded him in death. He married the love of his life, Brenda Faye Shaw on June 14, 1967, sharing forty-three years together and raising two sons.
He was in the United States Army from 1966 thru 1968, serving during the Vietnam War. After returning home, he began working for different construction companies as a carpenter. Darrel retired in 2000, after working for the Driver Construction Company for several years.
He enjoyed doing wood crafting at home. Rabbit hunting and fishing were some of his favorite pass times. He also loved riding around with Brenda enjoying the countryside and going to visit the Mennonites. He had a great love for his family and cherished his grandchildren. Darrel will be greatly missed by his loving family and all who knew him.
He is survived by: wife, Brenda Driver, sons, Randy (Tammy) Driver, and Jerry (Tammy) Driver, grandchildren, Dalton Driver and Brooklyn Driver, step-grandchild, Cassie Russell, and sisters, Carol Ann (Roger) Cook, and Barbara Phillips, all of Lafayette, TN.

MRS. BRENDA FAYE DRIVER – age 63 of Lafayette, passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2012 at the Macon County General Hospital from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Funeral Services for Mrs. Brenda Faye Driver were conducted Wednesday, at 11 a.m. from the Chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Elder Kyle Gammons officiating. After retiring, Brenda focused her attention on caring for her family. When Brenda was with her children and grandchildren, her day was complete. In her spare time, she would work on piecing quilts. Brenda also enjoyed reading books and watching the birds eat from the feeders that her son had built for them.

In more recent years, she had rekindled her love for going to the High School football games and supporting her grandson in his endeavors. Most importantly, as a young girl Brenda was saved and united with the Lord's church at Rough Hill. She remained a member of Rough Hill Missionary Baptist Church until her passing. Her family and friends will have a huge empty spot in their hearts, but our loss is Heaven's gain.

Rondall Allen Driver was born in Lebanon, Tennessee, on November 7th, 1963 to the late Earlie G. and Clara Nell Gregory Driver. He was one of four siblings born to this union. As a young man, Rondall was married and had one daughter and two sons.

Vinola Bell Sewell was born in Macon County, TN on July 7, 1931 to the late Eutra King Woodcock, and Tina Howard Woodcock. She was one of five siblings.
As a young lady, Bell was married to Charles Allen Sewell sharing forty-six years together and raising two daughters, Nancy and Susan. Bell and Charles had a wonderful life together, they enjoyed their home and loved being with their children. On December 21, 1998 the Lord called Charles home.
Besides Charles and her parents; one brother, Hollis Woodcock also preceded her in death.
Bell worked for a time as a banker, but most of her life was spent as housewife and mother. Bell had an unconditional love for her husband, children, and great-grandchildren.
She enjoyed sewing and working in her flowers, when time permitted. Bell had a great liking for antiques and enjoyed collecting them.
She was a dedicated member of White Oak Church of Christ and loved her church family.
On Wednesday, June 26, 2013, the Lord called Bell to her new home. She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her.

Donald Ray Woodcock, Sr. was born on August 30, 1941 to the late Eutra King Woodcock and Tina Mae Howard Woodcock. He was one of five siblings.
He was first married to Alma Jean Purcell and shared three sons, Donald Ray, Timothy, and Kenny. Later Donald married the former Ruth Marie Woodcock, gaining two step-sons, Greg and Ray, and having one more son Chris. Ruth passed away January 24, 2005.
Besides Donald's wife and parents; sister, Vinolla Bell Sewell, Brother, Hollis Woodcock, Brothers-in-law, Charles Sewell and Glenn Dycus also preceded him in death.
Donald truly loved his family. All six boys where sons to him, and he made no difference in them. His grandchildren were Donald's pride and joy.
He worked hard to start a business from scratch, never lagging behind and working long hours. Donald owned and operated "Complete Termite Company" for almost fifty years. He valued his customers and enjoyed the time spent talking and getting to know them.
As the company grew it served more areas including, Macon, Carthage, Murfreesboro, Gallatin, Mt. Juliet, and Lebanon.
Even though the company took up a lot of his time, Donald always made time to work on his farm. Raising tobacco and cutting hay were a couple of things he enjoyed doing. Donald loved doing anything that put him on the seat of his tractor; that is what he truly loved.
He was a member of Lafayette Church of Christ.
On November 1, 2013, at the age of 72, the Lord called Donald home. He is now resting from his many years of labor and basking in the wonders of Heaven.

On August 17, 1963, he married the love of his life Peggy Bransford Flippin, sharing almost forty-seven years together. They raised a son and daughter; thus making their life complete. Ray worked for American Greetings as a Line Set-up man and worked part-time at the Macon County Board of Education. He retired in 2002 after twenty-seven years of employment. Ray took great pride in making large gardens and giving a lot of it away to friends and family. Sitting on the bank fishing or hunting in the woods was some of his great past times. He really enjoyed being outdoors. Most people remember Ray for being so big hearted. He liked giving to and doing for others. He was a good cook and enjoyed cooking for his friends and family. Ray loved his family and wanted to spend all the time he could with the grandkids. He was saved in 1955 and joined Friendship Missionary Baptist Church where he was a member for over fifty-three years. Ray will be greatly missed by his loving family and all who knew him.

CARTHELL B. DRIVER, age 84 of Lafayette, Tennessee, passed away peacefully, June 9, 2010 at Macon County General Hospital. Graveside services for Carthell B. Driver were conducted Friday, June 11, 2010 at 11 p.m. from the Macon County Memorial Gardens with Elder Anthony Hale officiating and interment followed. Brian Driver, T.J. Jones, Myron Perdue, Steve Brummitt, Kelvin Stevens, and Tim Green served as Pallbearers.

He was born in Davidson County, Tennessee on May 18, 1926 to the late Bert and Susie Pipkin Driver. Carthell married the love of his life, Irene Wood Carter Driver on August 20, 1948, sharing almost fifty-two wonderful years together and raising a son; Irene preceded him in death on February 1, 2001.

He was a veteran serving in the Army during World War II, after returning home he worked as a mechanic for Imperial Reading for several years and Form-Fit Rogers several years, before retiring in 1991. He enjoyed going fishing and bowling with friends and family, he also liked to raise big gardens. Carthell was a member of the V.F.W. in Lafayette and was of the Baptist Faith. He loved his family, cherishing every moment he had with them. Carthell will be greatly missed by his loving family and all who knew him.

Terry "Jackhammer" Driver, 44 of Lafayette, Tennessee, passed away Sunday, September 21, 2003 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. The Macon County, Tennessee native was born July 4, 1958, and was a 1977 graduate of Macon County High School. He was a member of Lafayette Missionary Baptist Church and was the Assistant Fire Chief for the City of Lafayette Fire Department.
He is survived by his wife, Cindy Duffer Driver; a son, Nathan Driver; his father, Clyde "Pete" Driver; his mother, Jessie York Driver; a brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Donna Driver, all of Lafayette, TN; a sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Charles Johnson, Kingston Springs, TN; several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Funeral services for Terry "Jackhammer" Driver were conducted at Wednesday, September 24, 2003, 11:00 a.m., at Alexander-Goad Funeral Home with Eld. Richard Wilson, Eld. Anthony Hale, Eld. Don Curtis, and Lafayette Fire Chief Keith Scruggs officiating. Burial was in Macon County Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers were Troy Brawner, Michael Cothron, Michael Duffer, Barron Smith, Scott Sadler, Nicholas Jones, Rick Gann, and Terry Gann. Honorary pallbearers were members of Lafayette Fire Department and all City of Lafayette employees.

DRIVER, Jimmy KirkAge 72 of Lafayette. March 2, 2011. Jimmy was born on March 21, 1938 in Macon County to his parents, the late Cozy and Ruth Bohanon Driver. Besides his parents, sisters, Cozette Birdwell, Jackie Morris and Wilma Calloway; brother, V.D. "Skeeter" Driver and niece, Penny Driver, also preceded him in death. He married the love of his life, Julia Ann Billingsley, on July 5, 1961. They were inseparable as a couple. After working for Imperial Reading Company, he joined the Tennessee Highway Patrol in 1964. He retired as sergeant in 1995 after 31 years of service. After retiring from the THP, he served as court officer for Macon County. In 2000, he was elected as Mayor of Lafayette, serving until 2004. During his tenure as Mayor, a new home for the Lafayette Police Department, upgrades to the Lafayete Sewer Plant, and a new fire hall for the Lafayette Fire Department were made under his leadership. He still served on the Lafayette Planning Commission. Jimmy was of the Baptist Belief. Jimmy is survived by wife, Julia Driver; brother, Lloyd (Mizelle) Driver of Lafayette; brother, Carl "Dick" Driver of Bowling Green, KY; sisters, Betty Key and Peggy Jenkins, both of Lafayette and sisters-in-law, Ann Driver of Lafayette and Betty Murray of Dixon Springs; several nieces and nephews, and special friends, Leland and Pat Hargis.
