(George) Baker of Texas; step-daughters, Debbie (Mike) Kaufman of New Hampshire, Diane (Tim) Eckert of Kentucky; 5 grandch ildren, Amanda Cooner, Cameron and Raegan Kaufman, Jacob and Joseph Eckert. Tommy was a Unite d States Air Force Veteran, an avid Bass and Crappie fisherman and a dove hunter. He loved the Chicago Cubs andfollowed them for over 60 years. He is loved and missed by all of hisfamil y, many friends and neighbors. In going home, he leaves an emptiness in our hearts. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society . Funeral ceremonies will be conducted on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at 11 a.m., in the chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home, with Rev. Shirley Renee Franklin officiating. In the name of God Amen. I John Word of the county of Wilson and State of Tennessee being in perfect mind and memory calling to mind the mortality of life and know there is an appointed time for all men to die touching my worldly property that it has pleased God to bless me with my soul I give to God my body to be disposed of at the discretion of my executors hereafter mentioned, after all my just debts are paid. First if my beloved wife Fanny Word should live the longest, I give unto her during her natural life or widowhood all my land whereon I now live together with all my household and kitchen furniture and as much stock of all king as she a mind to keep, with such of my plantation utensils as she thinks proper, likewise six of my negroes to wit: Dolly, Jane, Amey, Dick, Abe and Joe and is she should marry she is to keep back two of the negroes her choice of them and still hold the balance of the above named property.

It is my will that if I die before I can purchase a negro suitable is for the executors of this my last will and testament do buy a negro about the age of five or six years for my son Edmond. I also give unto my daughter Nancy Word one negro girl named Lucy, a good horse bridle and saddle a bed and necessary furniture then also a good cow and calf. It is also my desire that my above named sons John and Edmond to have of my estate each a good cow and calf and bed and furniture as the rest of my above named children had a bed and furniture and a cow and calf when they left me. Also it is my desire that when my wife Fanny Word dies if she should live the longest that the balance of the state which I have willed to her be sold and divided equally among all of my children above named unto them and their heirs forever.
