Note: Jane's father's will, dated January 14, 1784, bequethed to Jane's heirs a Crown sterling. So she must have died before then. Her name is spelled Jane in the J. H. Dickey paper. He spells her husband's name as Jameison. The York Quarterly of June 1991 list the husband as Jameson. Wayne Angle gives Jamison.
Jane probably was born shortly after her parents John and Martha Dickey arrived in America by ship from Ireland. They probably landed at Philadelphia and may have stayed in Pennsylvania with friends for a time before going to Virginia. Jane could have been born in either colony. - from WFT Pedigree #1513.
