SANDERS
Researching my ancestor Stephen SANDERS (b. 1822, TN). His father was born in N.C. Stephen SANDERS "may have been" a grandson of Cornelius SANDERS (b. 1762 in Edgecombe/Ashe Co. N.C. area). Cornelius was a Rev. War Soldier, who served in N.C. Militia. Cornelius resided near the county line of Rutherford and Wilson Counties in TN. Cornelius applied in Wilson Co. for a veteran's pension in 1832. Stephen and Cornelius (Sr. & Jr.) SANDERS were in 1850 Rutherford Co. TN Census records... but a definite connection has not "yet" been made between them. Any information would be greatly appreciated! Thank you! Laura W. Griffith
