indicates:
He is posited as having married Amy Durrett of Caroline County in 1764. Durrett Hubbard, their (1) child, was born 1765. All of the marriage records of Caroline County before 1787 have been lost, and there is no extant record of the marriage. The loss of the deed, will and marriage records of Caroline County makes it impossible to determine the parentage of Amy Durrett. There were several Durrett families residing in Caroline County near the Hubbard family.
