1. Florence is featured in a Tulsa newspaper (probably the Tulsa World) clipping as a member of the entertainment committee for the Thomas Dewey, Presidential candidate, reception line which Mrs. Dewey will be included (1944).
2. Florence is mentioned and pictured in the Tulsa World Newspaper clipping dated June 11, 1944 selling war bonds (WWII).
3. An American Red Cross certificate dated April 1944 certifies Florence as completing the Hospital and Recreation Corps course.
4. Florence was active in the Christian Scientist religion.
5. Martha (may be Martha or Mattie Nall), in an old photograph, was an aunt of Florence but her maiden name is unknown.
6. Florence's St. Elmo, IL High School Diploma records her graduation date of May 8th, 1903.
7. Florence's birth date is of some concern because even she did not remember the year as 1883 or 1884. She tried to determine the actual year through local government agencies without confirmation. We have used the recorded dates in the Edmund Palmer and Lina Brown Chesebro' family bible.
8. Florence's family bible is filed with other Chesebro' family bibles.

Note: [Andrews.FTW]
1. James lived in Illinois for about 85 years, coming to White County, Illinois (probably from Chatham County, North Carolina with Nathan Nall who moved to Illinois at this time) with his parents when he was an infant, ca 1820. At age 15, he removed to Bond County, Illinois.
2. James was an early day traveling Methodist minister and teacher. His pocket diary, inscribed "1860" by the printer of the diary, and his bible, with the handwritten note: "Mr James Nall. Bought in Lawrenceville, Lawrence Co. In the year 1862", contain many notes and comments about his ministry.
3. James and Feraba never appear in Fayette County census. He was in Bear Grove Township at times and may have lived in Montgomery County -- "Fayette Facts Original Families".
4. Unknown relative Martha and Mattie Nall (James' daughter) bible ca 1862 is filed with James' bible.
5. The "Record of Certificates of Death", filed for record March 20, 1906 by Fayette County Clerk, Noah Emerick, incorrectly lists James' first name as John - all other information is correct.
6. From Fayette Facts, XX No. March 1, 1991:
"NALL, Rev. James William born 29 Aug 1819 North Carolina died 2 Feb.
1906. He came to Bond Co., IL at age 15. He married Phoebe Andrews in
1842 and they were the parents of 6 children; 1 son and 5 daughters. Two
daughters survive: Mrs. L. D. Kennedy and Mrs. A. C. Fogler."

1. Anna May's records for Guy Cemetery, St. Elmo, IL appear incorrect because her father would have been about nine years old at the time of her birth. We believe the old sandstone markers of those days were too weathered when the recording was made or the incorrect dates were entered at time of recording therefore have estimated her birth and death dates.
