Visitation was Tuesday at the funeral home.
Daily News Journal Aug. 1, 2001
Murfreesboro, Tenn.

Mose's grandmother, Emily Jamison Boyd and her brothers and sisters were equally given the estate of their father William Robert "Bud" Jamison because he had no will. Emily was newly married to Mose Boyd, Sr. The family (brothers & sisters) decided to sign over the family farm to Emily and Mose the farm because they were poor and had no place to live of their own. The farm was passed on to Mose Boyd, Jr. the only issue. Mose and Zera had one son, Robert who was killed on his second assignment in Viet Nam. They were heart broken because of the lose of Bobby and for many years never used the insurance money the government sent. They eventually gave the money to their church it is believe. A couple who attended the church found out about the contribution and started giving them special attention. They convenced them to move to another church in town where the couple were not as well known. Mose & Zera gave away the farm in their old age before Zera died for $1 under undetermined conditions to this couple that befriended them. Some have said that this same couple had done this before but typically no one had the financial means of taking it to court. Estimates range to $10,000 in court cost to do so and typically none of the cousins alive would undertake the cost and time required because no gain could be accomplished except the needed justice. Before the farm was signed over to the couple, the farm was to have been given to a local religious based home for the elderly. The courts were not interested in protecting the rights of the elderly in the Rutherford Co., TN area. Less than one week after they signed away the farm, they signed away their power of attorney as well. Friends, neighbors and relatives have yet to determine the motivation to give it way after it had been in the Jamison family for almost a 100 years. Almost everyone in the community knows of the situation and freely share the events surrounding the farm with anyone who ask. This event has been given to the writter by no less than a dozen relatives and friends of the family. It has been said that the couple gained over $300,000 from the land and property. It has also been said that the couple are currently working on another lady who is in a nursing home.

Note: Listed in 1860 in Dekalb Co., TN (Smithville), 1880/1900 Smith Co., TN. Enoch served in the 25th Inf. Company F. His death was with pneumonia at age 82. Enoch Fisher's life is recorded as entry F298 on page 475 of The History of Smith County Tennessee, ISBN -88107-079-3 c 1987. The entry was made by Linda F. Pope. It is in error concerning Mary Lee Fisher, daughter of
Enoch & Elizabeth Malone. It says she married Leonard Word who was actually her son. She actually married John Word. The text missing is basically:
