Note: Unknown if John Wesley's parents was actually John & Caroline. The search continues for proof. Some reports say John W. was born in Georgia. Others say his nick name was Tex and had relatives in Texas. The truth may never be known.

A John Wesley Boyd was born in Jackson Co., GA Sept 25, 1868. He married Zonie Elizabeth Guinn born in High Shoals June 13, 1880. Unknown if any relationship. Since our John Wesley Boyd was born in 1845, some 23 years earlier in GA any relationship is suspect.

John Boyd, a Revolutionary Veteran and resident of Warren, GA was by land lottery of 1820 granted land in Early Co., on Jan 11, 1821. The land lot was in 284 district 5. Under the Act of December er 15, 1818, which set up the Third Land Lottery of 1820, every Batchelor with 3 years residence was allotted one draw and if married two draws. If a veteran, then two additional draws were allowed.

In WFT Vol 14 #992 the is another John Wesley Boyd in TN who was born in 1841 who married Missouri Ann Sullivan born approx 1838. Now was Missouri Ann a popular name or was our John Wesley's daughter named after a possible relative, i.e. wife of the other John Wesley? One of #992 descendants are found in Wilson Co., TN.
