BORGER - Drucilla Victoria Hargrove, 54, died Thursday, Jan. 28, 1999.

Graveside services will be at 2 P.M. Monday in Sunset Memorial
Cemetery at Stinnett with the Rev. Charles Stillman, pastor of
University Heights Christian Church, officiating. Arrangements are by
Brown Funeral Directors.

Mrs. Hargrove was born in Amherst and had been a resident of Borger
for three years. She was a housewife and a Church of Christ member.

Survivors include three sons, Rusty Hazelwood and Thomas Hargrove,
both of Borger and Ronald Tex Hargrove of Armstrong, Iowa; a daughter,
Mitzie Medley of Borger; five brothers, Danny Wallace of Portales,
N.M., Thomas Tex Sharp and Michael Sharp, both of Sudan, Rocky Sharp
of Farwell and Joey Sharp of Spearman; two sisters, Judy Conley of
Sudan and Sarah Hargrove of House, N.M.; 11 grandchildren; and two
great grandchildren.

Albert Duncan, a transport driver for Consumers Fuel in Floydada, logged a million miles on his 1959 White Diesel last week when the odometer tripped over near Justiceburg, Texas while he was coming in from downstate.
That's a million miles on one truck, most of that coming on trips between here [Floydada] and Wichita Falls or Abernathy. Duncan "wore out" three other Consumers' transports before he started driving this new truck in February of 1959.
Those miles have been accident-free, too, and all on the same Diesel engine. The engine was overhauled at 265,000 miles and hasn't had a major repair since, Duncan says.
He contributes his safe driving record and the low-repair frequency of his vehicle to the same thing --- careful driving...
Duncan is not a "hot - rodder" he says some drivers that are have their trucks in the shop for a new engine at 200,000 miles.
"I try to stay far enough behind the fellow ahead of me to avoid traffic jams," he says. If he can cruise at 55, that's "good enough" to get the job done ---- and Duncan has been getting the job done for Consumers for over 25 years.
