Winkler, John Bell (b. 17 APR 1848, d. 4 OCT 1924)
Note: It is not clear but the author assumes that the farm of John Bell & Margaret Winkler was 143 acres which was sold by Margaret Winkler in 1923 a year before John died in 1924. The farm was joined on three sides by the Wilburn families: Sam, Cleora Wilburn Massey and Albert. Upto this time the area was called Winkler's Hollow. The main log house was more than 100 years old even at that time (1923). It was 2 story with 2 large rooms on the first floor separated by a dog trot. The kitchen was built apart from the house and had a dirt floor. Two smaller houses were located on the farm used by tenant farmers and at some times by married children. Apparently after this time the area has been referred to as Wilburn's hollow.
Death: 4 OCT 1924
