Note: Information concerning Eugene & Jonnie Boyd and their children is from an article in the Knoxville News-Sentinel, August 23, 1981 on their 50th Wedding anniversary provided by Tom Boyd.

Obituary:

Boyd, Mr. Eugene - Age 85 Knoxville, died Wednesday, March 1995 at U.T. Hospital. Mr. Boyd was a member of the Valley Grove Baptist Church, and was preceded in death by his wife, Johnnie Catherine Boyd. Surviving are: Daughters: Mrs. Peggy Adams, and Mrs. Patricia Hannah; sons: Thomas E. Boyd, John W. Boyd and Roy K. Boyd all of Knoxville; 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; half sister, Mrs. Ardane Neese; sister-in-law Helen Anderson. Furneral servied will be held Friday evening at 8 p.m. Holly Hills South Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Harry Mynett officiating. Interment will be Saturday 11:00 a.m. Holly Hills South Memorial Park. The family will receive frinds Friday evening at Holly Hills South Funeral Home and Memorial Park on Chapman Highway 573-7300.
