Read at Cecil's Funeral:

The Pryor family would like to express our appreciation for the love and comfort you have bestowed upon us this past week. During Cecil's life, he unselfishly lavished his love upon all of us, which made it very easy to return that love. Not one member of our family had the slightest doubt about his love and care for us and our souls. He made each of us feel special and of value and we knew his desire for our eternal life. Over the past few days, everyone we've spoken to, who has known him, has expressed similar comments about him. He was a very special person. He was a true Christian; one who achieved a Christ likeness, which was an example to us all. As far as it is possible for a human being to do so, we believe that by his example Cecil gave us a perfect understanding of the gracious, accepting love that God our Heavenly Father extends to all his children.

Dearest Cecil,
thou hast left us,
Thy sweet smile no more we see,
The sweet voice no more can cheer us,
The profound sermons will no more stir us,
And no more WA4YQC
Cecil, we mourn for thee.

Yes, Bright angels quickly bore him
Upward, heavenward, home to God,
While we weeping, brokenhearted,
You are in the sunshine of tomorrow.

You left us when we least supposed,
To cross over Jordan's wave.
But we must not God's will oppose,
You are in a far better place.

Farewell, Cecil, thou art at rest,
And so forevermore will be;
Your life a sermon
Full of example and love.

Thou are not forgotten, Cecil,
As long as life and memory last
We will remember thee.

Winkler, Wilmont Peyton (b. 12 JUL 1913, d. ?)
Note: Doc Winkler became a pharmacist. On one occasion he decided the grass was greener out west for his trade so he pack up his family and went to Eli, Nevada. The town was located in a deep valley between two ridges. There were mines in the hill that supported the workers in the town. He said the drug store had several stot machines that the customers had to pass on their way in and likewise on the way out. He said the the owner was able to pay his rent totally with the revenue from the gambling machines. The streets were very muddy and the side walks were built up high so the people could keep clear of the streets and the mud. They stayed there was only 4 days and decided to move back to Tennessee.

Morgan, Delcie Opal (b. 24 AUG 1921, d. ?)
Note: She remembers when she was 9 or 10 that she loved blackberry pie. One day when her mother was up at the barn plucking feathers out of the geese she got into the blackberry pie and ate all she wanted. It made her sick as a dog and she went out and layed down on the bed of the wagon and lost it all. It was a long time after that before she could eat another bite of blackberry pie. Today she is known for one of the best blackberry cobblers made. The author has provided his services many times to fix her computer for a blackberry pie.
