It is not clear but the author assumes that the farm of John Bell &Margaret Winkler was 143 a cres which was sold by Margaret Winkler in 1923a year before John died in 1924. The farm wa s joined on t hree sides bythe Wilburn families: Sam, Cleora Wilburn Massey and Albert. Upt o thistime the area was called Winkler's Hollow. The main log house was morethan 100 years o ld even at that time (192 3). It was 2 story with 2 largerooms on the first floor separated b y a dog trot. The kitchen was builtapart from the house and had a dirt floor. Two smaller h ouses werelocated on the farm used by tenant farmers and at some times by marriedchildren. A pparently after this time the area has been referred to asWilburn's hollow.Dixon Springs Cemetery, Smith Co., TN
