Mrs. Lela Templeton Andrews Thompson, 91, of 1559 New Highway 52W inWestmoreland, died Tuesda y March 2, 1999, at Royal Care of Westmoreland.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Friday March 5, (today), at Eulia General BaptistChurch with Elder Dou g Curtis and Elder Thomas E. Roark officiating.Burial follows in Eulia Cemetery.
Mrs. Thompson was born in Hartsville, Sept. 23, 1907, to the late ElonzoTempleton and Susie A nna Vance Templeton. In addition to her parents shewas preceded in death by her husband, Roos evelt Thompson.
She was a housewife and member of the Fairview Missionary Baptist Church.
Mrs. Thompson is survived by two stepsons, Earl and J. T. Thompson, ofWestmoreland; five step daughters Mildred Carter, Edna Harrison, andDonnie Anderson, all of Westmoreland, Wilma Satte rfield, of Hartsville,and Velma Loftis, of Gallatin; five nieces, Elizabeth Pedigo, ShelbyWag ner, Linda Kesslig, Lois D. Gregory, and Gladys Holder; and fournephews, Randall Summers, Dea n Summers, Bobby Brawner, and Billy Brawner.

First come to Virginia ,alone.He stayed 3 months atBoonesborough,exploring
the countryside.He did not bring his family,due to Indian Hostilities.
He liked the country and four years later 1784 He returnedwith hisfamily among a group of 30 0 persons.He had purchased 400 acres inJessamine County.After
a hard journey of 3 months and no indian incounter they arrived at apoint 20 miles from Cra b Orchard in a starving condition.Friendlysettlers living at Crab Orchard learned of their co ndition and l oaded uphorses with meat and pumpkin
bread and went to their relief

Francis was buried on his land in 1803-1813
