Subject: [PACE-L] Deed - William Pace to Jarratt - Rutherford TN
Date: Mon, 8 Apr 2002 13:18:39 EDT
Here is another Pace deed abstract from Rutherford Co.TN. (see below)William Pace sells 2 tra cts of land to David M. Jarratt. Comments aboutsome of the people mentioned in the deed: Joh n Earwood Jr. is possiblythe John A. Yearwood who married, Naomi "Amy" Pace, the daughter of James Pace and Mary Ann Loving. Samuel Fulks is possibly the father ofJohn Fulks who marrie d Zany Pace, daughter of J ames Pace and Mary AnnLoving. According to the HISTORY OF GREEN E AND JERSEY COUNTIES,ILLINOIS, 1885, p.385, "History of Jersey County", John Fulks was the s onof Samuel Fulks and Levia Tennyson. Jo hn W. Conley is also possiblyrelated somehow to th e Paces or is just a good friend. James Pace Jr.(b.1811) lists John W. Connelly in the St. Ge orge Temple records andcalls him "friend". Also listed is the temple records is a MatildaConn elly, b. 1810, "friend". As always, more research is needed to verifythese identities. Thes e deeds I have been posting also show how closelyseveral families w ere involved with each ot her and that it is necessaryto learn about several families to fully understand the Pace fami ly. Thisdeed is also interesting to me as one of my ancestors, Martha Amelia Pearce, the grea t grandaughter of James Pace Jr.(b. 1811) and Mary AnnLoving, married William Albert McCullou gh in Utah, the great grandson ofthe Alexander McCullough mentioned in the deed. Morris H . G oodloe is ason-in-law of Alexander McCullough. It is very hard for me to stayfocused on o ne family in Rutherford county, TN - so many of my ancestorslived there.
