Thefarm was pass ed on to Mose Boyd, Jr. the only issue. Mose & Zera gaveaway the farm in their old age befor e Zera died for $1 under undeterminedconditions to a couple that befriended them. Some have s aid that thissame couple had done t his before but typically no one had the financialmeans o f taking it to court. Estimates range to $10,000 in court cost todo so. The courts were no t interested in protecting the rights of theelderl y in the Rutherford Co., TN area. Less tha n one week after theysigned away the farm, they signed away their power of attorney as well.F riends, neighbors and relatives have yet to determine the motiv ation togive it way after i t had been in the Jamison family for almost a 100years. Almost everyone in the community kno w of the situation and freelyshare the events surrounding the farm.
