JAMISON
Vervie Taylor Jamison, age 84, of Camden, Tenn., died at St. ThomasHospital in Nashville , Tenn., on Thursday, April 27, 2000 at 3:15 A.M.Services were held on Friday, April 28, 200 0 at the Camd en church ofChrist with Wayne Jamison (his nephew), Mickey Beam and George Laux officiating. Burial was at the Coleman Cemetery in Murfreesboro, Tenn.with Stockdale-Malin F uneral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Jamison was born on June 28, 1915 in Readyville, Tenn., to thelate Robert Taylor an d Ada Cora Boyd Jamison. Mr. Jamison is survived byhis wife Lucille Andrews Jamison, one daug hter June Car olyn Jamison ofBrentwood, TN.; two sons, Glenn Taylor Jamison of Huntsville, AL , and JoeAnthony Jamison of Marietta, GA; six grandchildren, and seven greatgrandchildren.
Mr. Jamison was preceded in death by his sister, Kathleen Rodgers;and four brothers, Thu rman, Fred, Ralph and Aubrey Jamison.
Mr. Jamison was a retired supervisor from Genesco, an elder at theCamden church of Chris t, and his hobby was bee keeping.

Vervie Taylor Jamison
"The General is proud to introduce to you in this edition "Our man of thehour," Vervie Taylo r Jamison of the Welt Department. Vervie or, "OldHoss" as he is know to his many friends an d co-workers here at Plant No.2, was born Jun 28, 1915 in Rutherford County.
He attended grade school and high school at Kittrell in that county. "OldHoss" came to Genera l Shoe, May 10, 1937. His first job wa on theperforating machine in the Fitting Department , from that to the MakingDepartment on the heeling machine. He was transferred five years a go tothe Welt Department on a welt machine which he is very efficientlyoperating today.
He is loyal courteous and has a lot of friends not only in his departmentbut throughout the p lant. He has great talent for music and acting. Heis a sports fan, too. Baseball is his fa vorite sport and hunting is hishobby.
Vervie was married to Lucy Andrews, April 30, 1938. They have two boysage seven and five.
