Just found these on the 1860 census of Cannon county, Tennessee - Bradyville P.O.: 473/473 JEMISON, Saml. 57 M W Farmer 1000 1000 KY Catharine 54 F W KY Jas. J. 17 M W TN John 14 M W TN Rachel 8 F W TN Another uncle of James Greene Rodgers? Sure looks promising. What doesn't show on this census is Samuel and Catharine's daughter, Martha Ann Jameson. She was born July 2, 1825 in Warren county, KY and died March 10, 1878 in BENTON COUNTY, ARKANSAS. 474/474 JEMISON, Thos. 29 M W Farmer 1500 400 TN Sarah 25 F W TN Jas. 1 M W TN Son of Samuel and Catharine Jameson above. About Samuel Thomas Jameson and his family - you stated that he had an older daughter, Martha Ann, that was born, 2 Jul 1825, Warren Co, KY, and died 10 Mar 1878, Benton Co., AR. Another mystery solved - Grandma also told me that she had a relative Jameson married to an Osborn that had helped her get into school at the Pea Ridge Academy for Girls. I have no idea about the date or how long she attended, but it was important to her because she remembered those names. Martha Ann Jameson married John Osborn, 23 Nov 1853, Bowling Green, Warren Co., KY., and the witness was Jacob Goodnight. I would imagine that Jacob was also related to Catherine Goodnight, Samuel T. Jameson's wife. Then this is a real guess - the son of Samuel T. and Catherine, Thomas, age 29, in the 1860 Census, is married to a Sarah that is 25 - since they are all so connected and they did marry first cousins back then - do you suppose that she could be the youngest sister of James Green, because she would be 25 in the 1860 census........there were many - many - Sarahs - -------??
