The farm wa s joined on three sides bythe Wilburn families: Sam, Cleora Wilburn Massey and Albert. Upt o thistime the area was called Winkler's Hollow. The main log house was morethan 100 years old even at that time (1923). It was 2 story with 2 largerooms on the first floor separated by a dog trot. The kitchen was built apart from the house and had a dirt floor. Two smaller h ouses werelocated on the farm used by tenant farmers and at some times by marriedchildren.
